Two Americans, all in on the Var
More Var. Less ordinary.
We’re Stephanie and Amy, two Americans who landed in the Var after years in Paris and never left. Between us, we’ve spent fifteen years finding the best restaurants, beaches, hikes and hidden corners of this part of Provence. Consider us your English-speaking insiders.
We’ve both worked here and raised our families here. The Var is our forever home.

Stephanie and Amy, out in the vines
The Var gets under your skin. Not because of the landmarks you’re supposed to see, but because of everything else: the backroads, the markets, the light on the water at a certain hour, the sense that you’ve found something the guidebooks haven’t caught up with yet.
Plenty of sites cover France in broad strokes: the monuments, the obvious itineraries, the well-worn paths. We do something different. Lovin’ the Var is for people who want to actually live France, even for a week, and come home with stories instead of photos of the same things everyone else photographed. It’s also for the people making the Var their home: newcomers finding their footing, looking for the experiences that turn a place into somewhere you belong.
The Var, whole and unhurried. That’s what we’re here for.
